class vs. subject vs. course vs. major

- class : 

 

- subject : an area of study

  ex. history

 

- course : a specific class (주로 한 두 학기동안 진행되는)

  ex. Advanced Geometry

 

- major : a concentration of studies (particular courses required)

 

If you want to major in mathematics, you may be required to take a course in Advanced Geometry.
